The Archive Collection

Over the years I’ve produced a huge array of illustrative styles for a diverse range of clients. This archive collection digs through those that didn’t quite make the grade but still retain a sense of character, craft and show the mark-making of the artist. This mixed media collection fuses traditional drawing techniques using pens, pencils, ink, and crayon with advanced digital drawing.

Creative Direction

The success of this style relies on the viewer seeing the process of me as an artist. Showing the unfinished edges that lead into blocks of colour, and the sketchy lines that begin to shape the form, these are essential to conveying the craft. From creative portraits to still life scenes each one of these pieces aims to retain the charm and beauty of a pocket sketchbook that reads like a diary, a series of images captured to tell a story or seize a moment in time.
